When food becomes controlling, led by emotion, or is being used as a tool to alter your mood, it can lead to hurtful food choices and feelings of guilt. Exploring ways to feel more in control of your food choices can free you from the cycle. 

 

Exercise/Fitness/Movement

Exercise, in conjunction with healthy eating is key for overall health and wellness. Most of us know the facts. But why are we so reluctant to exercise and get moving? Exploring common barriers and working towards solutions, including how to incorporate exercise into your daily life while taking into account your current lifestyle and responsibilities, is key to getting started and maintaining the change.

What is Wellness Coaching

With the demands of everyday life, an overwhelming amount of information, and sometimes histories of repeated failure, it is sometimes easier to skip a few steps and turn to quick fixes in the short run but they do not usually work in the long run. It can be confusing deciding how to go about making lasting changes. Wellness coaching helps people set aside quick fixes and make lasting improvements in their health and well-being.

The emphasis is shifted to your strengths and opportunities, building on what is working in your life, and away from diagnosing and fixing what is not. Once you begin to accomplish goals, set on a regular basis, the confidence and momentum builds and you begin to make even more changes in areas that you have always wanted to address. Checking in with your coach and setting incremental goals in areas that are important to you keep you accountable and help get you to that finish line.

So how does our time together unfold? 

 

In our first one-on-one session, we assess where you are in each area of your health and wellness goals. We really tap into the vision that you have for yourself, based on your values and wants. I meet you where you are today, right now, without judgement, wherever you may be in the change process. We then make a plan and to identify steps that work for you to help you get there. In our follow-up sessions, we check in with each other to adjust. We review the highlights of the week as well as the challenges and create opportunities to move on.

As a certified professional wellness coach, through phone or video sessions, I will help you discover and apply the key ingredients that facilitate lasting change with growth in the areas of fitness, nutrition, fulfillment and life satisfaction. With my training in coaching psychology and background as a personal exercise trainer, I can help with a new way of thinking, narrow down the options, and design a plan that is tailored to meet your specific needs.​

  • One Discovery session (90 minutes) to create your vision and focus your goals

  • A roadmap of actionable steps that we create together to support you between our calls and meetings

  • Weekly or bi-weekly 60-minute coaching sessions to really move forward and build lasting change to suit your needs and schedule

  • Your choice of coaching sessions either by phone or video call

  • Unlimited e-mail support between sessions
